An Open Letter to a College Freshman | Philosophical Fragments

Timothy Dalrymple writes:

An Open Letter to a College Freshman | Philosophical Fragments.

This is the advice I wish I had read and taken as a freshman in college.  After 30 years of involvement with campus ministry (I worked with InterVarsity 14 years, my wife still works with IV), I’ve seen a lot of people who needed to heed this type of guidance, but tragically didn’t.  My sons will go to college in 2 and 4 years.  I hope and pray that they internalize this message.  (No, Tim and I didn’t overlap at Stanford.  He’s younger than me.)

The best gem: “Seek mentors, not merely teachers.”

What advice would you give a freshman?
