At the recent Society of Biblical Literature annual meeting a 9 minute video was shot where editors from various publishers mention two or three of their best-sellers. Prostitutes and Polygamists: A Look at Love, Old Testament Style was one of two books featured by Zondervan Academic.
Apparently Bible nerds want to read about sex in Scripture. Can you blame them?
While Jesse Hillman of Zondervan was talking, I am, unfortunately, in the background on the left wildly gesticulating as I speak to a new acquaintance. (The Zondervan section is from 4 to 5 minutes into the clip). Many of the books are a bit more academic than mine.
