The Sorrow of God

On November 17, 2022, I spoke on “The Sorrow of God,” based on John 11:29-38 at Breakfast with Missio as a part of my series on The Emotions of God. (31 minutes) According to Away in a Manger, “the little Lord Jesus, no crying he makes.” But what about big Lord Jesus? As we see in John 11, Jesus wept. As we see in Genesis 6, Yahweh was sorry he made humans because they were so wicked. How can the people of God appropriately express sorrow like God?
