I’m now a certified Rap Genius.
Rap Genius, a website devoted to engaging with “canonical rap songs”, has just downloaded the entire King James Bible on its website and it has made it open for comments. I got an email on Monday from Nicola Menzie from The Christian Post asking my thoughts on the idea. I shared them with her in this interview (posted 2/17/2013):
I think it’s a great idea. Hopefully people who have insightful things to say about the Bible will be making comments there. Hopefully, there will be more “gems” than “junk”.
Go make a helpful comment right now and then come back to this blog and say what you added. Add gems, not junk. Pick your favorite book of the Bible and make a helpful comment on verse right now. Do it. Click here for the Rap Genius KJV Table of Contents.
It took me about 2 minutes to make a comment on Gen 3:6. I disagreed with the previous comment that said it was all her fault–they were both to blame for eating the fruit–see the comment.
I told Nicola now that I’m a Rap Genius my sons will think I have some street cred. They don’t agree.
What verse did you comment on?
